The International Women’s Education Fund, Inc. (IWEF) was established in May of 2001 and received its U.S. state and federal 501 ©3 status is July 2002. IWEF is organized for charitable and educational purposes. Its mission is to specifically promote self-sufficiency among grassroots women in the United States and developing nations. IWEF’s goal is to identify and create resources to assist with education, economics and emotional empowerment training of women in poverty. IWEF promotes education for women (mothers) so they will likewise encourage and promote the education of their daughters.
IWEF Believes when you educate a female, you educate the family, village/community, nation and the world. IWEF conducts seminars emphasizing positive attitudes, high self esteem and cultural pride. IWEF’s ultimate objective is to establish economic, emotional stability and self-sufficiency in women by providing entrepreneurial training and small business ownership development.
