This past Sunday’s LA JUNTA SUMMER FINALE was fantastic! A GREAT crowd turned out, ready to dance, hoolahoop, play a drum and mingle. DJ degruvme started things off at 4pm sharp to set the tone for a day of fun in the Pasadena sun. Yukicito jumped on at about 5pm and got the energy bubbling as folks began to arrive and got into the groove of the evening. I got behind the decks from about 6:15 to 7:15 with a good full crowd of folks already getting loose. Here’s my set list below, full of reworked new and classic tunes to get the dancers connected to one another. I think the three of us I did a great job of setting up the headliner, DJ FRESKO, as the crowd pretty much erupted in cumbia ecstasy as soon as he took over the needles!
