sound n’ color.

Los Angeles photographer/visual ethnographer Farah Sosa worked her magic once again at last Saturday’s RITO collaboration between my two tribes, Ecléctica and La Junta. Trópico de Nopal loves Farah’s lens and vice versa. Check out this photo of WEST AFRICAN ORISA DANCE GROUP among all the richly colorful set by clicking on the image. THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN, FARAH!!

these wonderfully blurry photos testify to the lunacy of last Sunday’s ECLÉCTICA event! from the all-vinyl opening set by Radio Sombra deejay GOMEZ COMES ALIVE, through the deep Middle Eastern and Asian sounds put down by guest selector ARSHIA HAQQANI of the Sublime Frequencies record label, to the 1:30am Soul Train line, it was a lively and spirited night for all who attended and shared their inner joy. who am i kidding…”lively and spirited”? it was downright MADNESS!! 🙂 See you all again on May 13th!
