L.A. Bollywood
L.A. Bollywood uplifts the Los Angeles community by sharing the colorful heritage of India, taking audiences on a magical ride

Doctors and Engineers
The LA-based band Doctors and Engineers energetically celebrates South Asian diasporic experience by re-imagining Desi film and folk songs as psychedelic, American garage punk, and creating inspired originals from their own hyphenated identities.

La Junta
La Junta, or ‘the gathering’ in Spanish, serves as both the widely popular brand name of Los Angeles outdoor cultural celebrations that feature tropical Afro-Latin music, and as the moniker of the four-person team that produces the series and other related DJ/live music events.

sunday october 7 | coast santa monica

On Sunday, Oct. 7, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the City of Santa Monica will host the third year of COAST, Santa Monica’s Open Streets Event, celebrating the city’s commitment to art, sustainability, and mobility with two miles of activated streets.

The free event will feature live music, dance, hands-on activities and large-scale art installations, all exploring new mobility opportunities, sustainability, and art. Attendees are invited to enjoy the reimagined public space by walking, biking, or skating throughout COAST’s route while taking in the picturesque Pacific Ocean views and various experiences offered along the way. Participatory activities and performances will activate every block along the route, including iconic landmarks such as Camera Obscura, City Hall and the Pier. COAST festivities will then culminate in an “After Party” at the final Twilight on the Pier music festival. Participants are encouraged to bike, walk, or take Big Blue Bus or the Expo Line. Free bike valets will be available along the route.

For more information about COAST, visit and join the conversation on social media using #COASTSaMo.
