Much love to the Bay Area fam from UNDISCOVERED SF for having me work on a Blue Note 2.0 themed poster for the 2018 San Francisco season premiere! I spent a couple of days immersed in classic Blue Note recordings while trying to touch on the pinnacle of jazz coolness that was Reid Miles’ design style. Whether or not I got even a sliver of it right, I had lots of fun trying. I’m smiling at the thought that this could make it onto someone’s bedroom, hallway or studio wall 🙂
If you’re in San Francisco and are interested in attending, event details and tickets are at undiscoveredsf.com. Looks to be amazing!

About a week ago, I was hired to do a campaign poster–my first. The colors inset into the California image are those of Uganda. While the office is nothing but a blip on the global political scale, except for a background color swap I was happy to nail the design on the first try. Good luck to the candidate!
Rocked my first poster/flier for an out of town event! Love the illustration of the deejays and host by DEAL. Thanks to Daveed L. for trusting me to work on this quickly. The second flier is for LA JUNTA’s monthly late night session called PIÑA, held at DTLA’s El Dorado Bar. We’re there every 2nd Friday, but last night’s event was a special one celebrating LOCATORA RADIO’s first year of podcasthood. Thanks to our friends Diosa Femme and Mala Muñoz, and guest deejay SIZZLE FANTASTIC, we had our first line out the door after six previous events. We’re growin’!
