I’m hittin’ the road with La Junta this weekend, with our first mini-tour stop in the Central Valley city of Fresno, CA where we’ll be rocking with the good guys from Cumbiatron! Here’s the Facebook event link below. Let your friends in the area know!

The flyer you see above was done by the Cumbiatron crew, but I created the image you see as the featured image. Along with the two images that I designed for the subsequent Ojai and San Luis Obispo events, you may notice that my ideas were based on old posters and packaging for California’s citrus/orange industry from the early 1900s. I really enjoyed working on this series. Hopefully I came close to recreating the aesthetic from that era. Maybe I’ll get to see you at one of the tour stops! 🙂
Happy Holidays, Everyone!
La Junta crew (incl. yours truly, Glenn Red) here checkin’ in with you during these mad times. The good news is that 2018 is coming to an end and we’re about halfway to having that opportunity to make things right again. The bad news is that we’re still only about halfway there. Nevertheless, it’s that time of year to focus on being with family and friends and to take the time to celebrate life together. With that in mind, we’ve accepted the call to host our second PIÑA NEW YEARS EVE celebration at EL DORADO DTLA!!
Featuring two rooms of music with:
LA JUNTA SOUND SYSTEM (Yukicito, Glenn Red, Degruvme)
AL JACKSON (Soul Children, Juju)
KRISTI LOMAX (KPFK 90.7FM)
a live dance performance by:
feat. Samba USA Queen 2015 NICOLEA PETTIS
complimentary Champagne Toast at midnight!
We had an absolute blast last year and can’t wait to do it with you all again. And let your friends know…we’ll be one of the friendliest (and most affordable) NYE events in town! Make plans to celebrate with us!

Much love to the Bay Area fam from UNDISCOVERED SF for having me work on a Blue Note 2.0 themed poster for the 2018 San Francisco season premiere! I spent a couple of days immersed in classic Blue Note recordings while trying to touch on the pinnacle of jazz coolness that was Reid Miles’ design style. Whether or not I got even a sliver of it right, I had lots of fun trying. I’m smiling at the thought that this could make it onto someone’s bedroom, hallway or studio wall 🙂
If you’re in San Francisco and are interested in attending, event details and tickets are at undiscoveredsf.com. Looks to be amazing!
